About

Melissa is a corporate trainer, courseware developer, and creative visualization expert with over 20 years of experience helping people and teams grow. She holds a background in fine arts and art therapy from Tufts University.
Melissa was the co-founder of 5 Dynamics, a learning style and coaching platform used by Fortune 100 companies and universities. She helped develop the patent behind its approach to coaching how two people work together. Through this work, she led corporate trainings and presentations for organizations including Stanford University, Humana, Sony, and Time Warner.
After the company was sold, Melissa returned to Boston to teach art. While teaching at an art school there, she introduced her students, kids, teens, and adults alike, to the practice of making vision boards as a way to connect with their dreams through art. That experience sparked an idea that would grow far beyond the classroom. It became the first Vision Board Clip Art Book, making it possible for anyone to create an inspiring vision board, with or without a stack of magazines.
Encouraged by the response to her first book, Melissa went on to design a full range of creative tools and resources to support the art of visualization. What began as a single project grew into a collection of materials, and eventually a business that continues to help people bring their visions to life.
Alongside her vision board work, Melissa continues to write and develop new ideas with philosopher and entrepreneur John Voris, exploring identity and the relationship between people and the objects around them. Across every project, her focus stays the same. Helping people connect with their authentic vision and turn it into meaningful, intentional action.
